The instructions are a bit of a pain, but after you get the bottom figured out it's all gravy. They're sturdy enough. I was pleasantly surprised by this, as most metal cabinets are a bit flimsy. Bolted it to the wall for extra support. I emptied it a large buffet in the bottom cabinets with plenty of room for 5 board games and an old laptop. I was trying to buy 2 more but they're sold out. Assembly…sucked. All screws need to go in straight (at least in my mind to be “right”) and the space available in the pieces to put the screws in straight is…lacking. Ensure you have a power tool otherwise by hand, this is going to take you 4 hours (ask me how I know…🙄) However, all screws and joiners required same bits so no searching for the right sizes, which was appreciated. The final product is polished and aesthetically pleasing, and if available, I would purchase again. Ensure to follow the directions very well and pay attention to the pictures. The directions don't say much regarding which sides go where, and that absolutely matters. (Side note: do NOT allow your 14 year old son to attempt to assemble because they absolutely will not follow these directions or judge correct placement by the pictures. Again, ask me how I know…) Directions could have been a little more transparent regarding the side pieces and how precisely to assemble. Some pieces also have extra holes cut out that you do not use and it will confuse and irritate you. Overall, if you manage to dissect the instructions and really pay attention to the pictures, you'll get it done and the final product will be good. I'm using mine for a plant cabinet vs. paying IKEA prices, and I'm very pleased with the overall look, and that I cheated the IKEA cabinet system by hundreds of dollars by going this route instead. I would recommend it, with a precaution of “pay really close attention to the pictures for proper instruction” added. And also a note of, “If asking a teenager for help, specifically (my experience only) a male teenager, oversee that in every way, do NOT let them “figure it out”. They will 100% say, “it's good enough”, when in fact, it is upside down, backwards, and very wrong. Absolutely do not do that. But, if you really pay attention and use your powers of deduction to assemble, you'll be great, and it will be functional and aesthetic for your needs.
