Mankind was not meant to die here.

Interstellar is a very hard film to follow because Christopher Nolan uses many vague and complex concepts of physics to direct this space odyssey, but this film is also a deep study of a family of the future and their loves, lives and losses. The physics in the story line was very hard for me and is even harder to explain but the movie is not very hard to follow, The trouble is that the entire movie has many ideas and they don't come together entirely. However Nolan tries and we come to appreciate his effort. In a future American rural farm, lives a family of farmers and you might think that life is idyllic and golden but it is not because climatic change has caused devastating dust storms which threaten to destroy mankind. Mathew Mcconaughey is one of the farmers and a former NASA guy who still believes in space travel even if the rest of the world does not. The world in this futuristic tale is more concerned with agriculture. He is a widower who has a 15-year-old son Tom (Timothee Chalamet) and his 10-year-old daughter Murphy (Mackenzie Foy). One day a mysterious events lead the family to a hidden NASA site where scientists led by Professor Brand have been working on projects that would save humanity by taking them to another planet after abandoning earth. Well, this is where the movie started to get confusing for me as there are so many twists and turns but they all explainable eventually. I had to read about the film to understand the many riddles in this long movie. I think I might see it again. As all Nolan films, this film has a lot of ideas both abstract and very scientific ideas. The complexity of the film will not stop you from enjoying the film because you never get bored. Interstellar may have science at its core but at its heart it is more about loss, love , family and ageing.
