A sturdy, attractive reading lamp

It's a attractive reading lamp. Takes up a small amount of space and has an attractive vintage color. It fits the look and purpose that I was going for. I lowered the wattage of lightbulb because the brightest it could handle was more than I needed

Well made and attractive. Height adjustment makes the lamp suitable to various applications. Works very well as a chairside reading lamp .

First of all DO NOT open the box where you plan on using the lamp. Take it out to the garage or outside. It comes packed with a particularly virulent form of styrofoam that will attach itself to your skin, clothes, and anything nearby. No instructions enclosed. One simply threads the support pole to the base. You will need a 17mm socket wrench if you want to tighten from the underside of the base. I like the lamp but feel that it is overpriced.
