I chose this as a "personal bag" that should work in any aircraft that allows them. On the basis of online information from the various airlines that might have been used, which included the European budget lines plus being an overseas flight it should fit under the seat and it will hold my 10" tablet nicely. Having the ability to clip the strap to either side was one of the points that convinced me. Colour choices also worked with the "carry on" that I chose. It will also be good as a day pack at my destinations. I've done some day trips using it and I can easily place my sweater inside. If it had RFID protected areas it would be even better. I'm a tall rather large person and the strap length is great and not at the extreme length either. Having used their other backpack products over the years and knowing the build quality was also a reassurance.
