These curtains really are light-blocking, and they have a nice “ hand.” I needed something to cut down on the Arizona sunlight coming in through the small, single-pane window in a bathroom that I suspected was contributing to the excess heat on the 2nd floor. I have an east facing kitchen window that the sun just spears right in until mid afternoon and in south Florida that is a lot of sun. I bought these so I could work in the kitchen without having trouble seeing as it is directly over my sink.
