The beef filling goes very well with the masa and the sauce. The tamales come wrapped in food grade paper instead of corn husks, they are filled with sauce. You will want to squeeze that sauce off the paper. There is a lot of sauce in the can. The large can holds 8 yummy, and delicious tamales. You can warm them in a pan or put them on a plate and microwave them as well. Top it off with shredded cheese, sauce, sour cream, serve with any yummy side you love. Enjoy your tamales.

I love tamales but they take too long to make, not to mention the cost of all the needed ingredients . You can buy tamales from the freezers or coolers in some stores, but the cost can be high. These Hormell tamales fill my "tamale cravings" at a decent price. I put them in a steamer basket over water to heat them up. Then top with an enchilada sauce or taco sauce. Add some shredded cheese, some sour cream and you have a great meal that is quick and delicious. Don't forget to remove the paper wrapping before you eat them. I have a friend that thought you eat that paper. She told me they were good but chewy.
