It's a powerful unit. It easily cools my converted garage which is at least 550 sqr ft. Do be prepared for the amount of water it takes out of the air. If it's at all humid you'll be emptying a five gallon bucket at least twice a day. But as it's a garage with a concrete floor in case of spills, I don't mind.
