My sweet girl loves this seat!
We just stepped up from the Snugride to this big girl seat and she is so much more comfortable. She is almost 20 pounds and the car seat is perfect. You could tell that she knew something was different! The seat is a cinch to install and take out should you need to. Buckles are easy, but secure and adjustment for size happens with just one handle. I am planning to get the same model for my husband's truck.
Super easy set up. This car seat was ready to go right out the box. My babies love their new car seats. I have twins so I had to buy two and I could not beat the price of these seats.
Great Carseat for Infant to Toddler
So far I'm very happy with the Graco Contender 65. It was recommended by a friend and I'm so glad that I listened to her. We bought this when our daughter was 2 and she has been using it for over a year. It is very comfortable and comes with extra bottom and neck support cushions and cup holders. Additionally, it can be used both rear and forward facing. One of the best parts is that the strap adjustment is done via the red handle at the top of the car seat so you can adjust the strap height without re-threading the straps. Another great aspect of this car seat is that it is easy to take apart and put back together if you need to wash the seat fabric.
This car seat is in the same line of Graco convertible car seats as the Fit4Me, Size4Me, and Headwise, they all just have SLIGHT variations and are available through different retailers. This one is the least expensive of them all and has a slightly different style of base than the others. All kids should stay rear facing in a 5 point harness seat until at LEAST age 2 and all of those Graco seats are excellent for easy extended rear facing. I ordered this seat to replace a Britax Marathon that my son had outgrown for rear facing. That seat was over $200 and has a lot of "bells and whistles". However, since putting my son in this seat he hasn't complained once and I think it feels almost just as plush and comfy as the Britax. Install with latch was very easy with this seat. And even with the nice built in cup holder, this seat is still narrow and doesn't take up any more space than the Britax did. We have our infant in a Chicco Key Fit 30 seat right next to this one and they do not touch at all. I would buy this seat again and I'm glad I didn't end up shelling out an extra $50 to buy the HeadWise version of this seat at Target.
Able to fit 2 + infant seat
We're able to fit 2 of these seats rearfacing plus a Graco 35 infant seat all in the back seat of our Chevy Trailblazer. Despite being narrow enough to fit the car, they're comfy enough for the kids and have built in cup holders. We also like the adjustable headrests. Walmart had the best price of all other retailers.
Good car seat
This car seat has been great. My little one is very comfortable in it and likes it. I love the cup holder, especially in the hot months because I can bring cold drinks out with my kids for the car rides and they have somewhere to put the drinks. I don't love the seat cushion for the head because it doesn't stay very well. But it didn't matter much to me because my little one doesn't really need it anyway. The only thing really that I don't love is that the part you pull on to tighten the car seat is right up against the seat of the car when rear facing, which makes it hard to tighten sometimes.
