Lousy Bank, Expensive Product

You don't officially "have" to pay their $9 monthly fee if you have no money in your account on the day of your statement date, but if you start not paying they'll cancel your account. Other prepaid debit cards will cost you less and are available from more reputable companies, like the Bluebird or Serve cards from Amex. Bluebird has no fees at all and is free to reload at Walmart.
