What a Surpise!
I drink a great deal of beverages using different brands which use artificial sweeteners in their mixes 1.2gal at-a-time... in repurposed empty plastic fruit juice drink bottles... after the mix sets for a couple of days a residue forms at the bottom of the plastic bottle... this is a normal reaction between the various artificial sweeteners and the plastic... I was so tired of having that residue... and I didn't want to use my spare 'sun tea' brewing glass bottle (1 gal... too large of a capacity)... I began looking inside the store for a 2qt glass pitcher... no such luck... every pitcher that size was plastic... so I looked online and found this one... and at a price that wasn't totally outrageous... I have made several different brands of drink mix since my purchase... each one using a different type of sweetener... and no residue is left clinging to the bottom of the pitcher now... and I have noticed an improvement in the flavors being 'purer' (I change flavors at each refill... about every 3 days or so)... I am quite pleased with this product...
