This is a top-quality, 100% cotton, comfortable product - at a bargain price. I'm a tall guy, so most XXL undershirts are too floppy and still ride up to my navel. Not a problem with the Gildan A-shirt! They're extra long to be sure there's not unwanted skin exposure. However, if you really want to show off the skin on your back or ripped abs...buy a different brand.

I usually wear tank tops as external exercise wear. These are so called A shirts and are meant to be worn as an undershirt. They are thin, as befitting underwear, although some crew neck T shirts are much thicker. I personally really like the thinner material as underwear because I don't want the extra heat retention. In fact, that's the primary reason to pick A shirts over crew neck shirts. The packaging lists the content of the solid color shirts as 100% cotton and the grey shirt as 90% cotton and 10% polyester. The grey shirt I am wearing in the picture is very comfortable with a ribbed texture. I haven't had a chance to wash these, but I usually put cotton in the dryer rather than hang them up to dry, as I would with a polyester shirt. I would expect some shrinkage but also expect the shirts to bounce right back. As you can see, they are very form fitting (I'm 5'7”, 165#, 34W) so they should work well with other clothing on top. The arm holes are cut low so some perspiration may drip down if your outer shirt does not catch it. But hey, if you want better perspiration control, stick with the crew neck undershirts. One word of advice. Don't wear these out and about without over clothing unless you have a really athletic build. Just sayin'.
