The improved Gerbing 7V Thermite Fleece Heated Vest 2.0 for Ladies provides up to 8 hours of heat and is perfect for staying warm during any cold-weather activity! It's powered by Gerbing's patented Microwire heating technology, which provides best-in-class heating performance and comfort. There are 4 heated zones: 2 in the chest, 1 on the back, and 1 in the neck, and this heated vest reaches up to a maximum of 135 Degree F. Thermite fleece is composed of a deep, soft pile obtained by heavily napping with wire brushes. It's a 2-sided pile fleece to provide air space, giving good insulating properties without too much weight. Lightweight, warm, and soft fabric with hydrophobic attributes holds less than 1% of its weight in water. It retains much of its insulating properties, even when wet. Unlike other synthetic fleece, polyester fleece is known for its ability to resist pilling, even after extended use.

Keeps my upper torso nice and warm
I like this item a lot. I purchased the vest as if my torso is warm I am generally warm. It works great!!! There are four heat settings in the battery, So far I have not had to set it higher than the first level - even with pretty significant wind chills. I don't let the battery go below 50% (instructions say not to let it go below 25%) ... don't know if that is good or bad.
