Garnier Nutrisse Nourishing Adult Hair Color Creme, 050 Medium Natural Brown Truffle

I was in Walmart one afternoon several months ago looking for a hair color by the brand I had always used. A woman a bit younger than I happened to be in the same aisle and recommended Garnier instead of the more expensive one that I had always been using. I must admit I was a bit hesitant as I had never used Garnier before, but she was so excited about it, I decided to just throw caution to the wind and try it. And I'm so glad I did! And I am so glad that she was there at that moment to convince me to try Garnier instead of the much more costly brand. The Garnier hair color is absolutely awesome. It's not just as good as the more expensive brand, IT IS BETTER! IMOSHO! My hair is dark brown with red highlights. In order for my color to look like I had it done in a professional salon, instead of using just one color, I use two. Dark brown and auburn. I alternate the brown and the auburn throughout my hair, blending it in areas to make it look really natural. Nobody has ever guessed my hair color came out of a box and that I colored it myself. Garnier hair color lasts longer, it doesn't fade with washings, the colors are very rich, AND it is very gentle and good to my hair. Also the conditioner that comes with it is a big plus. I have very long hair, but like most people, as I get older the more gray I see growing out. I am blessed to look much younger than my 68 %26 1/2 years, so I certainly don't want my hair to look my age lol! From that day on, I have used only Garnier hair color. I will never go back to the more expensive brand I was using. Garnier is very economical, and I believe it is a higher-quality product at a substantially lower price than the more expensive brands. Being a senior citizen on a fixed income, it's much better financially for me to color my own hair than to go to the beauty salon where a cut and color can cost upwards of $125, not including tip, even in the small town I live in. So listen up gals, if you want a professional looking hair color that won't harm your hair, choose Garnier!!! I promise you will not be disappointed! I will post a photo or two after I color my hair this time. I've used Garnier now for over a year. I just haven't used this particular box, but I wanted to get the review out.

Okay, I usually use Revlon's Black Tea hair dye when I want to color my hair black to achieve a more natural look with a brown or red undertone, but I can't say Garnier doesn't also do a great job! It got my hair VERY black, to the point that it's extremely dark even with good lighting! I don't think it stains the skin too badly and if it does, it'll wash off really quick if you do a good scrub!
