Garnier Color Styler

After reading reviews I was nervous to try, but it was on sale at Target so I gave it a go. If you follow the directions PERFECTLY and don't put too much color on at a time you won't run into the dry and unmanageable problem people are talking about. I would reccommend just repeating the steps over and over to get desired color making sure you dry the hair in between. I used a lot because I wanted it to be very bold and there was only a slight texture to my hair, still manageable to wear in different styles throughout the next few days. I washed my hair once and the color is still there which is nice! Only thing to be aware of is when you do wash it, the pigment is loose so if you wear your hair wet and let it air dry, maybe don't wear a white shirt! Or you could just blow dry it so the color resets! It is perfect for a little flair in your life, I have light brown hair with a blonde ombre so it came out really nicely and blended really well.

I really don't know why there are so many people complaining about this product. It's a temporary hair DYE, so obviously it's going to contain some type of chemicals that's bad for your hair. In honesty, I bought this product in the color purple and I was actually satisfied with it. I have really dark hair and surprisingly, it showed up pretty decent. Yes, it did leave my hair feeling chalky after the application, but all I had to do to correct it was use some hair oil. Don't apply too much or you'll strip the color off. To prevent your hair from further drying, CONDITION your hair! and apply hair oil. My hair was back to silky smooth in less than a week! So I would recommend this product if you are looking for something temporary and only if you KNOW what you are doing and KNOW how to TAKE CARE of your hair. Just saying..
