Great color. Textured hair, but washed right out. No Damage!

I had a great experience with this product. It went on pretty easily, and wasn't a harsh smell. It didn't stain my bathroom like so many other products. Once dry, I was able to brush it, and yes, there IS a texture like feeling to the hair, like you used a lot of hairspray. It gets into your hairbrush and purple dust floats around, which was easily cleanable. But it says its a coating that goes on top of the hair, so that's not so bad - to be expected. I got vibrant color, and I had no damage. It washed RIGHT out for me in 1 wash! The only thing I wish is that it came with either a nozzle or a brush to apply it - you have to put it directly on your glove and work it into you hair, which is a bit of a pain and doesn't make for the most exact application.

It is perfect for temporary fun!

After reading reviews I was nervous to try, but it was on sale at Target so I gave it a go. If you follow the directions PERFECTLY and don't put too much color on at a time you won't run into the dry and unmanageable problem people are talking about. I would reccommend just repeating the steps over and over to get desired color making sure you dry the hair in between. I used a lot because I wanted it to be very bold and there was only a slight texture to my hair, still manageable to wear in different styles throughout the next few days. I washed my hair once and the color is still there which is nice! Only thing to be aware of is when you do wash it, the pigment is loose so if you wear your hair wet and let it air dry, maybe don't wear a white shirt! Or you could just blow dry it so the color resets! It is perfect for a little flair in your life, I have light brown hair with a blonde ombre so it came out really nicely and blended really well.

Blonde hair beware

I'm a young, creative and artsy person, so I jumped at the chance to have fun colors in my hair without the full commitment. Application was easy, although my hair did get tangled a bit. I dried it using a hair dryer on medium heat setting so I wouldn't fry my hair. After it was dry it was chalky feeling and not very soft or flexible like my normal hair. Because I have dyed strawberry blonde hair with lots of light blonde highlights the color was very vibrant. After one wash it was a softer purple color. Now it is a fuchsia color. While I like the colors, I don't like that I can't get rid of it. It has been a week since I first applied it and it is still not out. I've washed and washed and washed my hair. I've scrubbed so much I fear that I'll break my hair. It is still not coming out. When I look at the hair that was "colored" it is clear that the purple coating is not on the strands, but more like my hair was dyed purple. This is not a bad product, but I'm not sure I will use it again. I'm sure for darker hair this would work better, But if you have blonde hair, beware, because you might be signing up for a longer commitment than you thought.
