I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of ice produced in a short amount of time. Very easy to use. Having an older refrigerator, I couldn't justify the cost of repair for my ice maker. I also figure I will recoup the price of this appliance within a couple of months (based on the cost of purchasing bagged ice)

In one day, it makes enough ice to last us for a week. You do need to let it dump the first few loads back into the tank to start out to cool it down and make nicer bigger "cubes." Then, bag it for the freezer whenever the basket is full. We had an almost identical one that died after two years; otherwise, I would give it a 5. Also, we bought the extended warranty this time and will see how it goes.
