For this item, it has no stretch, the material is thick, so I went up a size up since wide leg pants are in, I normally wear a 14, I returned and purchased a 16, much comfortable seeing it had no stretch, the length was good, I needed a kitten heel, some young girls allow their pants to drag, mopping the floors, picking up every germ, not me that's nasty, u most definitely could not wear a ballerina slipper, a nice heel shoe would do, unless your tall, I'm 5' 6" hope this helps 🙂

I bought these in Navy and I liked them so much that I bought the other two colors. They are a light weight corduroy and the fit is perfect, wide legs and fitted waist. They are great for warmer environments and if you want a fall look. Great look for work. I am a 30inch waist and 40 inch hip and got a size 8. It is fitted at the waist and hip but loose in the legs. If you want a lower waist go up a size. I prefer the streamlined look.
