Farberware has always been known for quality products, and that is what I based my final decision on. I just wish it came in a wider array of color choices besides just the teal and white, but I ended up choosing the white so it would be more compatible with my decor. It's nice and I'm enjoying the quality. The whistle is quieter than expected. I even listen close in the same room. I can hear it well just not to be totally engaged in something. The lid from the steam gets hot it's coordinating the angle taking it off to dry right afterwards like all tea pots just learn. tIt arrived packed nicely in a box no outer box which I really don't like luckily it was fine.
