Works really well!

Had it for a couple months now and works great. Never had a leaking problem. I use the small opening to fill the tank as it fits under my bathroom sink faucet perfectly. Fan is a little louder than I'd like but have other fans in the room at night so don't notice.

humidifier

I followed the instructions. It works perfectly. This is not a vaporizer. It does what it is in the box: it absorbs water from the water tank and disperses it into the air. I think they can improve the name because it doesn't produce a mist. It's air. I bought it because of seasonal allergies and after a couple of hours on, my living room was amazing clean. I am breathing normal again. I fill half way the tank and last all day. I even had to turn it off, clean it, let it dry until next day. The filter is trapping minerals and impurities from the water. I use tap Las Vegas water which is packed with minerals.

Misleading Low Rating; Works Very Well.

I just want to give some feedback for this humidifier, because the high amount of 1 star reviews is rather misleading. It is $25 evaporative humidifier. You get what you pay for. And to be perfectly honest, for the price it is a very functional little machine. It does sound like a fan is running in the room, and it does specifically warn about the potential to leak in the instructions. However, I followed the instruction's advice and placed the humidifier base where I wanted it to be, and now every time I refill it I only remove the tank. No leaks. Not even drips when I flip the tank over to install it. As for the "no mist" complaints I noticed, this humidifier is literally called an "Invisible Cool Mist Humidifier". The way it works is that filter soaks up water from the bottom of its little basin, drawing it all the way up where it then begins to evaporate and a fan blows the evaporating air into the room. There is no misting involved, unlike an ultrasonic humidifier which shakes the water molecules so fast they break apart and a fan then sends those water bits into the air creating the mist. For this humidifier, you will need to purchase and regularly change the filter. But the instructions do suggest flipping the filter over before every use in order to prevent it from drying out on the same side. It's an easy enough little step to incorporate into your water changing routine that will actually help prolong the life of the filter. So, if you have $25 (or $37 for the 2 pack replacement filters) you would like to invest in trying a humidifier, this one is actually a very good start.
