This is a lovely mixture of oils meant to boost your mood and energize you. There are a lot of different oils in this bottle, not surprising were the lemon, orange, and peppermint. What was surprising was the black pepper and clove. Very unusual, and I would not have guessed those two just by smelling. When I smell it, I first pick out the citrus notes, followed by the peppermint and then I get a slight earthy smell.
This is meant to go in a diffuser. Although some people use essential oils directly on skin I would advise against it with this one because of the peppermint, lemon, grapefruit and orange. Sometimes they can have negative effects. The citrus oils can actually be reactive in sunlight, and although not everyone would experience negative effects, it's best to just keep this one in the diffuser, or you can drop some on a cloth to carry with you. If you have aroma therapy jewelry with the felt pads, you can also safely use it with those. I have a bracelet that I love using essential oils in and it doesn't get on my skin, but yet I can get the benefits wherever I am.
This is a half ounce bottle and will last for quite awhile even with daily use. When using in a diffuser you will need to add drops every hour or so as the scent dissipates.
One note: This bottle like so many others says "therapeutic grade". This is only a marketing gimmick, and there is no such designation by any governing industry authority. Do not use that as your sole basis for buying one oil over another. I like this oil a lot, but I am always annoyed when I see "therapeutic grade" listed on a bottle of oil because I know how meaningless the statement is, and it can be deceptive. I understand why oil manufacturers do it, but it still annoys me. Any company can put that on the label, whether the oil is pure and high-quality or adulterated with cheaper ingredients made with different plant parts.
