Neutral color, good backing, Keeps out much of the light (IMO true blackout curtains do just that - black out the light) In the afternoon, it is obvious that there is still daylight outside, but these do a wonderful job of darkening the room for easier rest and cooler temp. Single panel is just enough for 23 inch windows. Two panels for 36 inch windows. I bought 1 inch diameter rods with ample length to hang them, since these are going to be opened and closed daily. I did have to steam iron them to get the creases out, and that took about 15 minutes per panel. All things considered, they are keepers and I would buy the same kind again.

These are full of body and hang nicely. Most important they do block light and sound, great insulating curtains. The grommets make hanging easy and I'm so happy I chose black. Look really nice!
