With 600g insulation boots, kept my feet warm in Alaska down to -37. Probably would have been fine lower assuming less than 1 hour exposure. If you have warm boots and come inside a heated place, your feet will sweat. Be prepared to swap boots, swap socks or some combination thereof so as not to sweat.

I love the Buffalo Plaid on these socks. The color is an added bonus on these great socks! The socks are very warm for the slushy winter here in Pittsburgh. They are very comfortable with great thickness to cushion my feet but not too thick to be uncomfortable. They are not scratchy as some wool socks are. I highly recommend them to be comfy-cozy. Very reasonably priced for the quality and warmth of them. I have purchased quite a few of them and will be purchasing more of these. They go great with my plaid crocks.

Solid cozy winter socks

Thick and cozy, I gave a couple of these for Christmas and they were appreciated. They have some wool in them but I'm leaving it up to the giftees to read the care instructions. They are very elastic but I don't know if they would be suited for someone trying to avoid the compression of the part that goes on your leg.- if I didn't have that problem I would get some for myself. I like the color selection with many different plaid, some colorful, some understated. These will hold up for a while , they don't feel cheap or flimsy at all.
