Seriously, l have been wearing Dickies ‘work' clothes for over 40 years. The company has gone through many sourcing and manufacturing changes, but their quality remains steadfast. For this particular product, the Sanded Duck Pants (or Jeans), l can attest to their toughness and durability. I have worn this, and many other Dickies styles for many years, and they hold up to the abuses of the job. And yet, you can also wear them to go out or for more casual situations. Dickies are tough, iconic and never go out of style. Their durability is legendary.

I started buying these Carpenter Jeans because I need something sturdy for working with horses (farrier). I found them to be comfortable, and the side pocket holds a smaller smartphone really well without causing discomfort or damage. The colors hide dirt well too. I second the desire for a 33 waist. Or odd # measurements for both waist and length. They have become an everyday jean, although I wish the hammer loop would go away. I doubt too many guys use it, if I use hand tools I'll be using a tool belt. Without the hammer loop the jeans are even more acceptable to the girlfriend.
