My son assembled it for me so I can't complain about that, but it took him a little while. All parts were included. Would be best to assemble it near where you plan to use it as it is a little heavy to carry to another part of the yard afterward. Looks pretty good and the latch that you can work with your foot to fasten the doors shut seems like it will be ok. It is not something that you could lock up and reasonably expect no one to be able to get into. I just plan to use it to store a nice (expensive) zero gravity recliner that i don't want to leave out in the rain all the time to wear out quickly. (And this lawn chair is somewhat heavy and awkward for me to carry back and forth from the part of the yard where I use it to the garage.) Someone could pull the plastic parts apart if they wanted in badly enough, even if you locked it in some way, I think. I am using it in a fenced-in backyard. The shelves do not come with it. You must order those separately if you want them, but I didn't. Interestingly, the brackets to hold the shelves did come with it, and my son was somewhat perplexed about all these extra parts for a minute or so until he looked at the directions again. Whoever delivered the box (don't know if it was UPS or Fedex or the US mail) left it by my garage door instead of on my front porch like packages are usually left (probably because it was somewhat heavy), but my son carried it around back for me so it didn't cause me any problem this time. They are getting bad about leaving boxes by my garage door instead of on my front porch (especially Fedex) where I can't even see them from my front door or inside my house so I don't even know when there is something there.
