One night my fan had gave up running So I went to the store to get a new fan and this is the fan I bought. I love this fan. It puts out alot of air. Sometimes I have to turn it down cause it gets real cool in my room. I think it's a very good buy.

Cheap, quiet, disposable

I haven't been convinced by any fans offered in the under $60 range they are really worth it (cheap soft metal blades, noisy). This model comes in colors for the kids' rooms, and is quiet. They last several years if kept clean and not knocked around, but with kids around I'd rate them more for 6months to 1 year. Even with AC working, the summers are brutal in TX, so a fan is good to have year round to circulate air. You can add a couple 1 foot pieces of 2x4 or similar size piece of plywood to the bottom with sheet metal screws to help keep it from getting knocked over. Just make sure the screws don't intrude far enough to impact the blades.
