They're thick, heavy, soft, silky and so beautifully made. The material is quality! Not the cheap, weird cotton type you expect in blackout curtains. We work nights and sleep during the day. Blackout curtains are a must. Our bedroom window gets the high, hot afternoon sun and these block it all out! The color is a rich, deep blue. Navy not royal. I love them. I just ordered more for another room in the house. We just hung them so they aren't steamed yet.
