I like this simple metal clip better than another one I tried recently. By comparison, this one was less sharp at the edges, for example and this is a small but appreciated detail to know on something like this that makes a qualitative difference. It is also nice that you can order them in the number needed one at a time.

a different kind of use

I needed something to hold my toilet tank lid up off the tank about 1/2" to let air circulate thru so that the lid doesnt mold. i tried jumbo file clamps and they would not stay put. Boy these do!. For papers and things like that you need jumbo file clips. I have also used these to reseal plastic food bags.
