I add other ingredients to this like the broth from my boiled chicken ,sugar, peanut butter,chiles, tomatos and sometimes abuelita chocolate. This condiment alone has good flavor I just add more and if you like spicy this alone is not one bit spicy you'll have to add your spicy to it.

Quite simply the best...
The recipe and container have been remarkably consistent, though they have done different decorative glass jars at times. As others have noted: using a bottle opener/"church key" is the simplest and fastest to open the jar. I've never tried to make a "small portion" using less than the jar because it is simply delicious and even better leftover, so trying some "I'll just make a tablespoon" is done at one's own risk. Delicious. Rich. Wonderful mouth texture when mixed to directions. Best when mixed with chicken broth or stock. A wonderful consistent product that I'm glad has stayed true to themselves. Salud!
