DHP Tommy Twin Metal Loft Bed, Black

I did a lot of research on different types of loft beds and these beds have the Best Reviews for the style, construction, assembly, and price that I found. The previous reviews for these beds are the number one reason for my decision on getting them. I'm a single mom of two living in a 2 bedroom apartment with little space. I bought two of these loft beds, for my 13 yr old and 15 yr old who have to share a bedroom. They love the beds and all the extra space they now have. I took into consideration the pros and cons listed from the previous reviews and I would have to say they are pretty spot on. The beds were fairly easy to assemble using the directions provided. With the exception of one step, I managed to put both of them together by myself in 2 hours with the tool provided. I did not have any problems with aligning some of the screws with their holes, like some of the other reviewers had. I will agree that the ladders do hurt the bottoms of your feet, but only if you stand on them for more than a couple of seconds. If your just climbing up or down on the ladder, the steps aren't that bad, considering they are metal. I did read where a couple reviewers used noodles to pad them with, so I tried that. It worked for a few days, but the noodles I used were the cheap dollar store ones and they fell apart pretty fast and I didn't replace them with anything. My teens didn't them or want them. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase, you get what you pay for, so expect that. I would buy them again if needed.

I bought this for my 7 year old daughter who has a purple and turquoise room the silver went well with these colors. Assembly was easy and instructions were clear. I'm 8 months pregnant and was able to put this together with a little help from my mom (holding pieces up etc) in about an hour. It is very sturdy and looks nice. I've seen way more expensive sets that are squeaky and look cheap. I am very satisfied with my purchase.
