The clear formulation performs exactly as described. Darkens the wood when applied but dries completely clear, as if no coating was applied. Great finish. Wanted a clear finish to highlight the natural wood after a painstaking stripping effort. Will never stain the deck with a pigment that hides the natural beauty of the wood.

I followed the directions and it turned out great. Do not skip recommended steps. I really like the stain. Only applied one coat first year. Second year did not require a coat. Third year, we put a second coat of stain on. Hopefully, it will hold for a few years now that we have two coats of stain on.
