I've been using these pitchers for almost 10 years. water comes out soft and wonderful to drink hot or cold. in cooking I only use the water for pasta and rice. coffee or tea. You can't beat it. I'm really serious and nobody paid me anything to say this. Hey a trick to using these pitchers. Don't grab the handle . It should have a door to fill the upper reservoir instead of taking half the top off. The water taste is clean and as good, or better, than bottled water. Placed in the fridge supplies cool, clean water. It will reequire a minor amount of effort to lift and balance, depending on the amount of water it contains.
