I use this to make pie crust and biscuits. I try to keep dairy out of things like that as much as possible because we have a family member with sensitivity. I use this when making Toll House chocolate chip cookies. It makes the cookies less flat and perfect. I make 9 giant cookies per batch. I also use only pure cane sugar and pure cane brown sugar. This all makes for a great cookie. I also use this for greasing my bread pans and when shaping hot rolls.

Great shortening!!

I use this Crisco with butter strictly for making my pies, and have been using it for many years. I have never had any problems and my crust always comes out just right!! Formerly I used the plain crisco but when the butter sticks came out I switched to them, and never regretted it. I store them in a plastic container and they last a long time when I'm in between baking!
