A close friend registered at the usual places and I refuse to give a gift of a drying pad for bottle nipples, etc. I think a gift should be pretty! The basic stuff - write the mother to be a check and let her buy that herself. I went off the grid and bought this beautiful gift - the Caspian Quilted Play Mat (Whale) and I was glad I did - it is soft and the colors are vibrant and who doesn't love the whales? So fun.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect for tummy time on the go! I love the neutral colors and each object has its own feature (crinkles, squeaks, etc) to help keep your baby entertained. And it is machine washable too. I'll be keeping this at the Grandparent's house for my daughter to play with.
