I ordered this hat to replace another order that won't get here in time. It's amazing! As for the package packing, this came with a plastic insert to hold the shape and a covering around the rim. There is no need to unfold, shape, or steam as mentioned in reviews for other hats. It comes with reducer tape tabs for the brim in case it is too big. Has a neck cord to use on windy days and states it is spf50 . I am not a hat person, but this was a great deal for $11.99!
