Brita Elite Water Faucet Filtration Mount System, Fits Standard Faucets, Chrome, Includes 1 Filter

I was disappointed at first when I installed it and quickly realized that the filter indicator is not an LED light like the previous white models I had bought from Amazon. I called Brita to try to get a replacement for the previous white model because the filter light had stopped working when I turned the filtered water on. However as I spoke to them regarding the second one that had had an issue with the light, I realized that the filter indicator might be more reliable on this chrome version which somehow keeps track on how much the filter has been used and will indicate when it has 2 weeks left by changing from the full green to half red, half green and then to red to indicate that it needs to be replaced. I believe there’s a filter reset button that needs to be pressed to reset the indicator when you insert the new filter. So I am thinking that at least the light can’t start acting wonky because there is no light. I did mark it on my calendar when it should be changed, just to see if it is anywhere near the 4 months that the box claims each filter should last. This is an estimate, of course. I also like the chrome color much better than the white. It matches the faucet and doesn’t look like an eyesore.
