I purchased this because my new puppy has to eat every 6 hours and I was getting up at midnight to feed him. now, I just put the food in before I go to bed, set the timer and he's automatically fed. it works great and the timer is pretty accurate and very quiet. It's everything I need and for the prices great.

I bought this dual pet feeder for my dog. I work long shifts sometimes and my dog is on a schedule for his medication. I did a few tries, from one hour to 12 hours, and the doors open every time. I have been off for a couple days and I have trained my dog to eat food out of the feeder. By dangling a little bell by the pet feeder door, I make sure he can hear it. When the trap door opens, it hits the little bell and makes a sound. You can't attach the bell to the trap door, the spring mechanism isn't strong enough to hold the weight of the bell. With a snow storm coming, I will have peace of mind if I am stuck at work. I'll know that my dog is taking his meds (fyi, I stick them in a cat "pill treat" that my cat doesn't like, but my dog does!). It does come with a cold pack. I just wish it'd make a "ding" sound when the trap door opens. Anyways, very happy with my purchase.
