VIZIO 24" Class HDTV (1080p) Smart LED-LCD TV (D24FM-K01)

I did give this Vizio D24FM-K01 TV a 5 STAR rating but it comes with an asterisk*. The set up and start up went smoothly but the Vizio operating system (SmartCast) has some issues. It is not real smooth and takes awhile to initiate when opening apps. The WIFI signal strength on the TV showed "Fair" and that may have something to do with it. Increasing or decreasing TV volume also proved to be a task at times. My solution was to purchase a ROKU Streaming Stick 4K and operaate the entire TV through it on the HDMI 2 port. I was considering running a long Ethernet cable to the TV but... there is no Ethernet connection. When everything was completed, this TV works great. Awesome picture and the volume problems disappeared because I use the ROKU remote for everything. I chose this VIZIO for the size and the ability to download the Spectrum app. But, the ROKU also offers the Spectrum app so this did work out OK in the end. I wasn't real keen on this TV at the start and actually considered returning it but another $35 investment in a ROKU really made this work out in the end. For a 24" TV, I do believe this has a lot of features (there's really not a lot of demand or choices out there for a TV this size) so I am more than happy. A little extra work and few more $$ made this a winner. I would recommend this if you're willing to apply a few more resources towards it. It is very lightweight, this size is perfect for a small area, great picture, and economically priced. I do not know if this would be a good gaming TV but there are some options to adjust for it within system choices. After one week, I am happy with it and it has performed well.

Great little tv! My only complaints: 1. the sound output is terrible, but that's to be expected these days. Fortunately, it has excellent bluetooth, and so I can enjoy it with headphones or an external speaker. 2. the remote for this Vizio also controls the LG on the wall. Not optimal. I get around this be getting the wall tv right and then adjusting this tv with the app on my phone (usually just on/off). 3. home screen ads. Disgusting. i went into settings and told the tv not to go to home screen when it turns on, but instead to stay on bluray player. if i'm streaming, i have to use the home screen, bit i always know what i want the tv for, so i don't dwell or browse. All things considered, i'm glad i bought this, the price was great and it does a good job as a 2nd screen for multitasking.
