This is a good, sturdy hair clip, about 3-3.5" long. I ordered the brown color. In the picture it looks beige, a little goldish, with some stripes, if you will, for variation and has some luster to it. When it came in it was like a dark, flat carmel color (orangey-brown, think Caldors from the 70's), is the best way I can describe it. There was no luster, no goldish sheen, it was dark -definitely not the light beige color they show, and it was rather matte or flat, no luster or depth of color. I was really disappointed, especially bcz it was a gift for a friend who was leaving in a couple days to go overseas. So I could send it back w/o having time to order a different color before my friend left or give it to her as-is. I gave it to her as-as, but I was really bummed out with the color. Wish I had had time to exchange it. Even if it had been a true brown shade that probably would have been better than the orangy-brown color that arrived. Just rather ugly, in truth. Other colors are found on amazon, much nicer than this, same price but shipping was longer and I only had a few days.
