I saw this type of product used on a cooking show that recommended shredding your own cheese because of the taste and ingredients used in pre shredded cheese in stores. I have on old style cheese grater and up to this show, was ok with what I had that my Mom and etc… had used in my family. There were several available but this green color is one of my favorites so honestly this is why I ordered this one. I'm so glad I did as it's so easy to use and take apart for cleaning. By far one of my fav's this season of cooking

The appearance is *very nice. The color is very nice. The "ease of use" ...Only for young people who can dice and cut themselves, unless they have many items to cut, but have a lot of energy. The slicer base does not adhere to the surface of the counter, which makes it difficult to use. ***It does not shred semisoft cheeses.

Beats the hand grader for cheese!

It gets the job done. Happy I don't have to do cheese by hand anymore. It tries to stay in place on the counter with suction however i think because its such light plastic it cant. Plus its a bit of a work out. With all that I still choose this to grade my cheese over the hand held one.
