it is MORE than enough room for our pit/mastiff mix. he has more than enough space to stand up straight and move back and forth. his XL bed fit perfectly in it. having a door on both the front and the side is pretty convenient for placing it where we wanted it in our home. seems very sturdy, although he is not one to try and escape. there's an extra little latch on the bottom of the door to help make sure it stays shut, in case he does ever try to escape lol. all in all, a really good purchase!
