Blade II (DVD)

"Blade II" is my favorite of the trilogy, due in no small part to the more sci-fi-themed storyline and Guillermo del Toro's brilliant direction. Wesley Snipes returns in this sequal as Eric, aka Blade, a half human/half vampire determined to eradicate the vampire "cancer." Only this time, Blade has something far worse than vampires to worry about. The battle scene at the film's climax is one of the most memorable in the history of movie-making, and Kris Kristofferson (surprisingly reprising his role as Blade's surrogate father, Whistler) is, as always, outstanding. This one is a must see for anyone who enjoys action, science fiction, or gore. Highly recommended.
