Avia Women's Slip-on Athletic Sneaker, Wide Width Available

Was searching for a lightweight comfortable shoe to wear to a conference. Tried on about 50 pairs of shoes in two weeks and settled on this brand and style in black. Tried on in-store and bought 9W women (5'8”, 120 lbs, usually wear 9 and have aver. width feet). Wore compression socks and walked total of 40,000 steps on concrete floor in four days (with breaks, of course) and feet did not hurt at all! Saw online this style came in another color (blue speckled) and bought it to wear on the plane when traveling. Price is right, no blisters or back aches (some hip pain if not taking sitting breaks every 1.5 hrs., my fault), and great fit for a great price = WIN!

Tried on about two dozen prs. before traveling internationally and also a trade conference where I would need to walk on a concrete floor 8 hours a day for 3 days. I own pricy walking and hiking shoes that are awesome but they are not made to walk on concrete for a duration, which can hurt your hips, back and neck. For under $20, this pair is surprisingly comfortable and I had only had slight hip issues when I didn't take a brief sit down break every hour. I typically wear a woman's 9M (I'm 5'8” 120 lb) but opted for a 9 wide because I tried the shoes on in-store and the wider version with compression socks was more comfortable. Love this pair so much that I bought 2 more pairs in case Walmart stops selling it. Can't beat the price for a slip-on pair of shoes that looks a little chunky dorky but wow, it's so comfortable for walking and traveling!
