bought a light about a year ago,Guidesman, piece of junk. I'm retired, wanted some use from it. mistake. instructions said charge after each use... they were right. charge went fast,light defused and weak. finally gave up and got another Everstart Maxx. what a difference. so far holding charge as well as the 1st Maxx i had (over 4 years of solid use) and beam goes all the way to my back fence, 1 1/2 acre lot. I'm happy.

Best handheld light
The EverStart MAXX SL5HE LED Rechargeable Spotlight is without a doubt the best and brightest rechargeable spotlight I've owned and I have many. The beam is as tight of beam I've ever had! It holds a tight spot easily at a 100 yards. It comes with a charger and USB cord, and a cigarette car lighter style charger. I wish they had a red lense for it but I fabricated one for mine. I plan on using mine for coyote night hunting. With the car charger I'll always have a charged light. The spotlight has a charging light on it that turns solid green when it's fully charged. This is a VERY bright spotlight that can serve many purposes. It has a great grip on it which is rubberized and it's lightweight. Lithium batteries are wonderful batteries and this one has a good one. This spotlight gets 5 stars!!

Nice backup spotlight
This, my first experience with a rechargeable spotlight, has been positive. The pistol grip is comfortable for my medium size hands, and the back of the grip has a rubber insert to improve traction. Standing at a distance of 12 feet from a wall at which I directed the light, the first pull of the trigger threw out an intense, focused beam about 2 feet in diameter, with a broader, less intense beam extending out to a diameter of about 12 feet. Pulling the trigger a second, third and fourth time gradually reduces the intensity of the light thrown until the fourth pull produces a very diffused beam as you might use for an extended time during a power outage at home. A fifth pull of the trigger turns off the light. A flip-up bracket on the top of the unit acts as a stand, allowing you to set the light on the ground with the beam tilted slightly upward, a feature you might use for example to illuminate that flat tire you’re trying to change at night. The unit comes with 2 adapters, one for charging the light from house current, the other for charging off your automobile.
