[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gearwrench has a few sets, it's hard to figure out which is best. I really like this set. It seems to be one of the most comprehensive 1/4" and 3/8" drive sets I seen. I immediately took this to my barn to disassemble an old tractor to get at the fuel tank and was interested to see what I might need that wasn't included.
When you open the top, you'll find the ratchet combination wrenches. I used a couple, but I can't attest to their strength. I broke the ratchets on a couple years ago, so I don't use the ratchet end to break stuck bolts anymore. They were handy for the removal of some blind nuts. I also like that the wrenches are recessed sufficiently to provide a flat surface for your beverage of choice.
The drawers are locked in securely with flaps on either side that snap tightly. The drawers are best used by removing completely. I took the whole drawer to the work, helping to eliminate the back and forth to the tool chest.
The socket sets are complete in standard and deep, SAE and metric. They're ridged on the tool end for spinning loose nuts or bolts. I especially appreciate that all of the metrics are included. I've been caught short once or twice when my tractor required a size that apparently isn't used in automobiles so higher numbers were even only.
There's a great selection of 1/4 and 3/8 drive bit drivers for torx and hex bits. You'll find these handy on a lot of automobiles now. A set of bits and nut runners with 1/4 hex can be used with the 1/4 hex drive handle or a drill for some of the lighter interior work.
With all of the bits, you might not reach for the Allen keys often, but when you need one, they are included also.
