Catch more fish with an Okuma Avenger Bait Feeder, 40 Reel. It's effective when you're fishing for bluefish, catfish, flounder, grouper, jack and other saltwater fish. You can use this Okuma fishing reel at your favorite spot in a saltwater marsh, or out in the open water. It has six stainless steel ball bearings, for excellent action and a long usable life. This saltwater fishing reel also has a 4.5:1 gear ratio and features a patented auto trip bait feeding function, so you can free-run the line without opening the bail and easily disengage the spool. The Okuma Avenger Bait Feeder, 40 Reel, even includes a Hydro Block watertight drag seal, to keep the action working properly even when the parts are exposed to corrosive salt water. The bait-feeding reel has a spare G-Tech spool system, along with an easy to control aluminum handle. The Okuma fishing reel comes complete with a one year warranty.

Okuma reels are covered by a limited warranty against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one year. Should damage occur due to a manufacturers defect, Okuma will, at the company's discretion, either repair or replace the product at no charge. Damage resulting from alteration, accident, neglect, or normal wear and tear will, at the company's discretion, be repaired or replaced for a nominal fee. This warranty is only valid to the original owner and does not extend to products purchased for commercial or rental applications. Products requiring warranty work should be sent postage prepaid and insured to Okuma Fishing Tackle, 2310 E. Locust Court, Ontario CA 91761. In addition, a check payable to Okuma for $7.95 (US $13.99 for Canadian shipments) to cover return shipping and handling should be enclosed. Okuma products not covered under this warranty may be repaired at a nominar charge, plus shipping and handling. Customers will be contacted with a complete estimate prior to any repairs being performed. Prior to returning any product for warranty or repair, please call (909) 923-2828 to retain a Return Authorization number. This number whould be placed on the outside of the box and easily identified. To protect against lost or damaged items, all products should be carefully packaged and insured prior to shipping. We ask that you keep all shipping receipts, in case a claim is necessary with the shipping company. Please include a copy of your proof of purchase, your warranty card, and a brief statement pertaining to the problems you are encountering. A check payable to Okuma for $7.95 (US $13.95 for Canadian shipments) to cover return shipping on all warranty claims is required. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. I own two Okuma Coronada series reels and couldn't be more happy. When I saw the Avenger 40 series was available for less than 50$, I had to have it. I bought two and will use it for light to medium saltwater action, and if they perform anything like thier larger cousins I'm sure to be very pleased! The 2 year replacement plan was also too good to pass up. Happy fishing!

Great Surf Casting Reel!!
I have owned an Okuma Avenger 50 on a 10 ft surf rod for about 4 years with no problems - it's been a great reel - so when I needed to replace an Epixor on a 9 ft surf rod, this was a no brainer. You really can't beat these reels for the money. Smooth casting and the bait feeder light drag system works flawlessly. One quick turn of the handle and the main drag engages for the hook set and working that fish to the beach. Low maintenence, reliable and fun to fish with - no down side to an Okuma Avenger 40 or 50 Bait Feeder.
