A metallic mesh net is threaded over a hinged metal ring that fastens to itself and then twists into the end of the telescoping rod. The assembled ring is approx. 16" diameter, and the telescoping rod is length-adjustable from 24" to 54" long. NOTE: the fabric of the net is not strong enough to support the weight of an actual pet (but, for effect, a stuffed animal toy would work nicely).
