This cord appears to be high quality; however, I have not used it to power a heavy 15 amp load thus far. I did test each conductor, with an ohmmeter, and the resistance is essentially zero, as expected. The only thing I found odd was a significant odor as soon as I removed the plastic bag surrounding the cord. The outgassing of the cord's plastic covering was significant. Fortunately, this odor has subsided since the cord has been hanging in my garage for over a week.

It is recommended not to use extension cords for space heaters but if one must, this is cord is the recommend indoor appliance extension cord gauge recommended. My daughter has this particular cord on the space heater in her bedroom where she lives and it works remarkably well and does not get hot, so I just ordered this particular cord with the correct gauge , so that I can also use a space heater in my bedroom when I'm at her house.
