If you need a Family Mobile, only buy a Family Mobile. The Straight Talk phones are not compatible. It doesn't matter what Straight Talk tells you. You will not be happy if you listen to them and buy a Straight Talk because that's all thats available. I love my Family Mobile.
We are very happy with this phone!!!
I purchased this phone for my elderly mother, we have had it a week now. We love that it has a very loud ringer and she can hear clearly when talking on it, as she is very hard of hearing. She is easily learning to navigate and operate it, much better than phones she has had in the past.

Affordable and Reliable
This is a good basic phone. No bells and whistles but reliable as a phone. I especially like that it has good battery life I like the size not too big or small it fits in my hand without feeling awkward. If you need an affordable reliable phone or a second emergency phone this may be the answer.
