8 Plait nylon is the ideal choice for the anchor rode. Compared to traditional 3 strand nylon, the tensile strength is similar, but the multi-strand woven lay allows the rope to lay more compactly in the anchor locker. As a result, you have more rode available if needed. In addition, the 8 plait does not twist or knot up, allowing the windlass to perform more efficiently.

Traditional 3 strand nylon is an excellent economical choice when choosing an anchor rode.
All of our rods have high test galvanized chain hand-spliced to them to operate smoothly in a windlass.
Includes bucket and 5/16" shackle.
