Got this and hooked it up but found the Dip Switch Settings on the EDID (there are four) have to be set with 12 different modes along with 3 others in order to work correctly and as the unit did not come with the manual had to download it from a site to see which settings worked as it did not work 'out of the box'. Minor hassle really BUT going thru those Dip Switch Settings really didn't find one that really worked well. One that did work caused intermediate interference with audio. i.e. audio would 'come and go' which is aggravating.
As far as the video side of it those dip settings change your Monitor/TV display and never could that one to get to where my Monitor/TV was before I hooked this up. i.e. first try it changed my display to 1080p which was a no go then switching it to another dip mode it just wasn't like it was naturally the display values in Windows was set with no way to change it.
Got this to hook up a sound bar for audio and it just became unusable really, so I just used the optic link OUT from the TV and had a splitter on hand to split it to RCA stereo out and went from there.
I am returning the unit to Wal-Mart.
