Still Innovative even 28 Days Later..

I could easily use this review space to give you an intricate, detail by detail synopsis of each scene. I could also drone on for weeks about how innovative and original this film stands within its respective genre. But instead, i will comment on the one issue that these apparent self-proclaimed(in so many words) "Videophiles" are concerned with,..the video quality of this Blu-Ray transfer. If you are in anyway familiar with 28 Days Later, you will know the the director shot over 90% of the film on Digital Video, thus it looks exactly like the original source image, limitations and all. There are however a couple of scenes shot on 35mm, specifically the end sequence with it's wide sweeping angles. This scene in particular looks spectacular and is easily comparable to the best Blu-Ray Transfers out there. Please keep in mind that Blu-rays are not some sort of Magic Disc that makes everything you transfer to it pop with the clarity of say "Cars" or "The Dark Knight" and or "The International". The true genius of the format, is that it recreates the look of whatever the source,Perfectly! (35mm,70mm film,DV,grainy stock footage, what have ya!) (usually that is, if the image hasn't been scrubbed and or washed to death. Predator, comes to mind.) And in the case of 28 Days Later Blu-ray transfer? It capture's the look of the film the way the Director intended you to view it. And what more could you ask for than that?

Low Quality

The movie itself is great but the BR quality is absolutely terrible. If you already own the DVD copy, do not buy the BR version. the BR quality is the exact same as the DVD and all BR players up convert DVD's already.
